To the Readers of The Literary Vault
First of all, thank you so much for visiting ‘The Literary Vault’!
I provide unbiased reviews of books that I either purchase, borrow, receive as a gift, or get as an ARC or review copy. My opinions and preferences are solely my own and are not subject to any external influence.
To Publishers & Authors:
I’m honored that you are interested in requesting me to read and review your book! Please read over my review policy before contacting me about a review. This will save both you and, me time and I won’t have to go through the review requests that do not meet my policy terms.
Review Copies I will accept:
- ARC
- Gallery
- Finished copy
- Physical Book
- E-book
What am I NOT accepting
At the moment, I will not review self-published books or books published through indie publishers. However, if you would like to advertise your book on my blog, do send me an email with the subject line: ‘Self-Published: Interested in Advertising’ and I will get back to you.
Genres I review:
I ONLY accept novels that are Young Adult and Adult in the following genres:
- Contemporary/Romance
- Dystopian
- Mystery & Thriller
- Fantasy
- Sci-Fi
Genres I WON’T review:
I will only review books that are for young adults and adults in the above-mentioned genres and that I believe my readers would enjoy. This is a young adult book review blog and therefore I want to give my readers an accurate representation of what they can expect.
What you should include in your review request to make it easier for both of us:
- Detailed book summary
- Release date
- Why you think this is a fit for my blog or why you would like me to consider reviewing it
- Time frame in which you would like to see a review posted (this will greatly influence my decision and I will have to see if I can commit to that timeline)
- Any additional expectations you may have
What happens after you submit a review request
Once I receive your request, please allow me 3-4 business days to revert as I am currently attending High school and have academic commitments to meet as a priority. I may require some time out of my study schedule to review your request and revert.
Once I decide to accept a book for review, I do not guarantee that it will be immediately read, or review posted. It will take between 2-6 weeks after I send my acceptance to you.
I will try my very best to read and review in a timely manner but there could be times when it could be delayed due to my exams and academic commitments.
About my reviews:
In my reviews, I provide a rating, the release date (for soon-to-be-released books), and the publisher’s blurb about the book. I also include my recommendation, whether for or against the book. I post fair and honest reviews of books I have purchased, borrowed, been gifted, or have received as ARCs or review copies. Please be aware that my reviews are based on my own opinions and preferences and are not influenced in any way. While I try to be positive, there may be times when I post a negative review if I don’t like the book. I can assure you that my negative reviews will never be malicious or hurtful; they are simply a truthful opinion of my experience with the book.
