A lone dandelion bud glistened in the starry night, lying under the twinkling, dark blue sky, blissfully nestled in a vast meadow surrounded by tall blades of grass. Its short stem shook in the gusty wind, struggling to regain balance. The whisper of the breeze hung in the cold air, urging the bud to blossom, face the unknown, complete its cycle, so that one day, a hopeless person or a happy child could blow on its white fuzz, eagerly awaiting the heavens to grant their wish true.
king of dandelions:
i doubt how loved I am
i don’t believe I am very important in others’ lives
i don’t know if they like me as much as I like them
i struggle with thinking I am not important
i desperately want to be important to those I love
i don’t let it stop me from showing people love
without this self-doubt I am more carefree, happier, secure in relationships

As the sun started to spread its red, orange, and yellow hues on the horizon, the moon realized its time was over. The moon’s crescent shape shed its last glowing beam on the dandelion bud as it spoke to it, telling it to be brave, finally kissing it goodbye. “Take care of her,” the moon whispered to the sun as it swung across the sky to the other side of the earth, its blue glimmer fading into the morning dew.
The rays of the warm sun reached down, gentle and caring but also firm and demanding. They touched the roots of the dandelion buds, filling them with newfound energy. The sun had blessed the dandelion with the start of a new beginning, a new era opening its doors wide, beckoning someone to walk in. It promised the bud an unforgettable journey, full of growth and unforgettable moments yet to explore. It was the season of growth. The sun smiled at the sight of the dandelion bud, relaxed and warm, its closed petals trembling with heightened anticipation every passing second, as it relished the sun’s heat.

Suddenly, the sun spoke… “Blossom!” it said strongly, traveling and swinging to the top of the sky, its golden rays stretching farther and farther, bathing the meadow with light. “Blossom,” it repeated, its tone softer now, an excited encouragement; it was coaxing the dandelion bud. It looked down at the bud, giving it hope and strength to let go of its hesitations and open up its beauty to the world.
The sunlight blazed brightly in the radiant blue sky, illuminating the world. Its blazing rays wrapped up the dandelion bud to its core. “Go on love, blossom,” the sun said hopefully, its unforgettable zeal and passion throbbing. The sun held its breath, its cordial beams pulsing with anxious expectation.
The dandelion shivered under the sun’s warm vibration; the glow from the sun seeped further into its roots, maximizing the dandelion’s willpower. The dandelion looked up, lengthening its sight far into the sky, finally catching a glimpse of the pale and distant moon watching directly across the sun. It saw the dandelion with teary eyes, its silver glow coming back to life, shimmering in the illuminating sunlight. It whispered, “Bloom,” loud enough for only the dandelion to hear.
jack of dandelions:

The dandelion quivered, and with its next breath, it realized that its time had finally come. It’s time, it whispered to itself. It was time for the dandelion to emerge as its renewed and rejuvenated self, to leave behind the familiar sweetness and fear of the unknown.
Slowly, it inhaled the cool morning air, then exhaled, releasing all the sweet nothings whispered by the passerby, all the doubts and fears that had clung to it. It was ready to embark on this new voyage, the next chapter of its life. It glanced around the meadow with its heart glowing and a pang of nervousness. It noticed the way the grass swayed in the sunrise breeze, the familiar bugs that crawled around scouring for food, the charming honeybees buzzing about, collecting nectar from the nearby sunflowers, and the brown soil, which had provided the bud with love and comfort, now beckoning it to fulfill its desires. It was now time to let go. The dandelion knew this moment was coming. It was its moment to unfurl. What a bittersweet existence.

With one last look, the dandelion bud lifted its gaze toward the sky, capturing the sun and moon in one frame, hovering in a quiet celestial dance, both smiling down, exhilarated. The sun’s warm, golden glow mixed with the moon’s distinctive, ethereal radiance gave the dandelion hope. Hope that it will prosper. Hope that it will live up to the expectations surrounding it. Hope that one day, someone will come its way and blow on the dandelion’s old soul, making a wish, and that the wind will carry and scatter its seeds into the unknown, fulfilling the desires and hopes of many. It hoped that one day it would finally have a chance to reunite with the sun and moon, high up in the Milky Way. Hope that everything will turn out just fine and okay.
Saying their farewell, the sun and moon came together in a soft embrace, their light blending in perfect harmony. “We’ll always look out for you,” they whispered, their voices fused with the breeze, a promise etched into the sky. The dandelion smiled, its heart full and its spirit light. It was grateful for the lessons, the strength, and the love it had received along the way. But now, with courage blooming inside, it was ready to blossom. As the next breeze came along, the dandelion’s petals slowly began to emerge from their comfort, flowering heartily, ready to open their eyes and meet the world’s magnificent wonders. The dandelion stirred with the wind, spreading wider and wider with every gust of wind. Its yellow petals make their captivating appearance, bright and bold, a beacon of hope in the meadow.
Drip. A raindrop fell onto the dandelion’s newly emerged petals. Drip. Another raindrop fell, travelling down the dandelion’s green stem. Clouds were starting to form, obscuring the sun and moon and their familiar light. The azure sky transformed into a deep gray expanse. The dandelion stood alone, wielding independence, no longer sheltered by the sun’s warmth and the moon’s celestial guidance.
The ripples of the raindrops cascaded through the air, gracefully dripping onto the dandelion’s petals. The dandelion could still feel the shadow of the sun and the moon’s unyielding presence, a quiet comfort in the midst of the storm. Their spirited essence lingered, guiding the dandelion through the turbulence, offering a sense of ease as it rocked with the howling wind and the crystal tears of the sky.

i am always going to doubt myself, there is a certain extent to which humans need to doubt themselves

So, the dandelion decided to dance. With every gust of wind and raindrop, it gracefully swayed, its yellow petals shining bright, embracing the storm. As the mighty wind picked up, the shards of grass shook, but despite the storm, the dandelion wasn’t scared. Instead, the dandelion embraced it; it embraced whatever came its way with a fierce soul and an open heart, spinning blissfully in the tempest. A love that comes once in a lifetime, the dandelion thought, blooming into the chaos, wild, precious, and free.
